  • 4.0 out of 5 stars from Loge10 -- Remarkable : I was, at the age of 52, provided with neuropsych testing and found I much more intelligent than I even accepted about myself. It's remarkable how long ago this book came out and how relevant and not "dated" it is. Even with all the more recent books, this one really nails the subjective experience of the highly gifted child - and area of interest since being tested. • 4.0 out of 5 stars from Amazon Customer -- Bright child : It has a lot of information of high talented child. Thou it doesn't given specific names. It gives a lot information on them. Several things it tell, like Thou the child is about 6 to 8 younger than the average child. But mentally they are on equal level. The problem they have no understanding of them. Thou a few can , most can't. The information is nearly hundred years ago. And I'm surprised that it was not known! ( Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2016 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from T S -- Crucially important. : A sensitive, scholarly, and quite readable examination of a small, but very special sampling of profoundly gifted young prodigies. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from C.J.S. Hayward -- The fountainhead of today's understanding of giftedness! : This book is not one book on giftedness among others, not even one particularly good book on giftedness among others. After Charles Galton created the concept of an "intelligence quotient" or IQ, he wrote really nothing better than  Genius: An Inquiry Into Its Laws and Consequences , where the sole reason for thinking in terms of IQ was to assess how people could be used as eugenic breeding stock to create genius.
